Centre for Medicine, University of Leicester

Cole Jarman were appointed to provide the acoustic design advice for a new £42 million Medical Education, Health Sciences and Psychology building at the University of Leicester.

The new facility provides approximately 12,000sq.m of teaching rooms, academic offices, dry lab research facilities and support spaces capable of accommodating more than 2,350 staff and students. Acoustic design guidance was provided with respect to the internal separating elements within the proposed building, appropriate reverberation control measures and the control of external noise ingress.
