The Gate

This was a mixed-use scheme in Doha, comprising two towers of residential and commercial office space located above a large retail mall. We completed a full acoustic design brief covering traffic noise intrusion, sound insulation and mechanical services noise affecting the offices and retail areas.

Our detailed input to date has required us to undertake acoustic modelling of the retail mall areas to determine intelligibility of the PA system. Recommendations have been made on the proposed internal finishes and the PA system layout in order to ensure suitable ambient noise conditions, suitable reverberation times and acceptable intelligibility from the installed PA system.
