Assessment of existing ambient levels of vibration in a wafer fabrication plant in order to assess the vibration environment for the vibration sensitive ‘stepper’ machines which were proposed to be introduced in ‘Clean Room’ environments.

Compliance of the manufacturer’s operating vibration criteria was tested to determine whether a scheme of vibration isolation was required for the machinery.
