We advised on the mechanical services design of a new prisoner and jury holding facility in the Central Criminal Court building. Work involved assessing new ducted ventilation systems to ensure noise levels did not exceed the Court Service standards and analysing cross talk between sensitive rooms sharing common ductwork, where the highest levels of privacy were necessary. An assessment was also undertaken of external noise from new plant items, in order to ensure that both the existing facilities in the building and surrounding properties were not unduly affected by noise from the new plant
