New printworks for publishing national titles. We assessed noise levels generated by presses and folders, including undertaking tests in Germany. Advice with respect to noise control within press halls including sound absorbent linings was sought. We advised on sound insulation between the press hall and the adjacent spaces.

Further advice was also given on sound insulation to external environment. Our solutions were based on using cladding systems rather than heavy (and time consuming) block work constructions. Advice on plant noise control was also provided.
