MTV Studio, Leicester Square

We were appointed as acoustic designers of an on-site MTV broadcast studio in Leicester Square, London. The studio had fully glazed walls looking out onto the external areas. We undertook the design of sound insulation to all parts of the building to provide suitable levels of protection to MTV and to other tenants.

Within the studio we designed a scheme of internal finishes and room geometry to provide the required internal acoustic conditions. We also specified finishes in the control rooms and sound booth. The building services system benefited from noise and vibration control to ensure low operational noise levels.
