Lord’s Media Centre

Acoustic design for the phased major refurbishment of the iconic media centre at Lords Cricket Ground. David Miller Architects, the original architects for the building, were engaged to provide a significant internal redesign of the media facilities, function areas, circulation spaces and to construct a new external camera gantry.

Cole Jarman’s works included quantifying acoustic conditions in the existing facility, defining suitable acoustic criteria for the refurbishment within the constraints of the retained elements of the building, and providing design advice as necessary to enable the criteria to be achieved.

Since completion, the scheme has been selected as a finalist for the Building Awards 2017 in the Refurbishment Project of the Year category.
