Khalsa Secondary Academy

Neil Jarman of Cole Jarman on behalf of the Secretary for State for Education presented noise evidence at the July 2014 planning appeal hearing. The primary issue was the impact of playground related noise upon the local community. A permitted development rights application had been refused by South Bucks District Council.

Consent was initially granted by the Secretary of State DCLG in September 2014, however withdrawn after an error in the decision letter was acknowledged.  Further submissions were made on which Cole Jarman advised, following which approval was granted in February 2016.  The decision was subject to a High Court challenge in July 2016, but the decision upheld.
