Ericsson Headquarters

1 St James Square was fitted out as the London headquarters building of Ericsson. The employer had very specific requirements for the internal acoustic conditions required in various specialist rooms.

The challenge was to meet these requirements whilst utilising glass and timber wall and ceiling finishes together with operable partitions that allowed spaces to be opened up one to the other.

Use was made of retractable acoustic finishes to provide a degree of flexibility in the rooms. Recommendations were also developed for the finishes in the central atrium, parts of which were used as meeting areas on each floor.
