East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP)
RSK Acoustics provided technical acoustic leadership for the environmental and social impact assessment (ESIA) of the largest heated crude oil pipeline in the world, through Uganda and Tanzania.
The team provided technical input into three ESIA, including assessment of a load-out facility and marine storage terminal. The team was responsible for the scoping report, baseline data collection (including training and upskilling local consultants), impact assessment, and management plan. The ESIA required the development of specific impact and significance criteria for the ESIA and assisted with noise control design. The work included substantial engineer engagement and presenting to the project team.
