Cranbrook is a 7,000+ dwelling new community located to the north of Exeter Airport. We were engaged by the promoters of the scheme to carry out a detailed review of the noise impact study prepared by the Airport. Our independent analysis involved the preparation of aircraft noise contours in line with relevant guidance.

We were involved in negotiations with the Airport on mitigation measures that might be appropriate to ensure that the two uses could happily co-exist. Part of the study involved a detailed analysis of the benefits of ground running pens to reduce noise emission during engine testing.
