Biggin Hill Airport

On this project we were the acoustic advisor to the London Borough of Bromley appointed to assist in Local Plan development. Our remit was to undertake a comprehensive study of the noise effects of the airport on the surrounding community.

We took into account the noise impact from airborne aircraft, ground activities and engine running tests. The output of the study was a full set of environmental noise contours, validated by measurements around the site. These fed into the Local Plan in order to identify appropriate locations for noise sensitive development given the noise emitted from airport operations.
