Barmouth Viaduct, North West Wales

RSK were instructed by Alun Griffiths to prepare construction noise predictions for proposed works as part of the restoration of the Barmouth Viaduct, North West Wales. The first round of predictions took place at the end of May where appropriate plant lists and a model was set-up depicting the propagation of sound from the four planned work compounds to nearest receptors across Barmouth.

A baseline survey was undertaken which allowed for the construction predictions to be updated with appropriate threshold criteria taken from the ABC method of BS 5228.
