Armani Theatre

The Armani Theatre in Milan was designed for Giorgio Armani by the Japanese architect Tadao Ando, principally as a fashion show theatre, but with other uses envisaged. Our role has been to make measurements of the acoustic conditions inside the theatre during construction and during its first use for fashion shows.

We were charged with achieving variable acoustic conditions to suit the various uses of the theatre, from fashion shows, to drama presentation to conventions. A stipulation was that the form of treatment must in no way detract for the visual design aesthetic of the space.
