AMGEN Data Centre
Cole Jarman were instructed by AMGEN to provide an overview of the noise and vibration implications of locating a data centre with vibration sensitive equipment (servers, switches and routers) in close proximity to large plant items. We provided advice on vibration isolation at source, the implications of floor resonances and the protection against airborne noise induced vibration.
A summary report was issued to the directors at Amgen comprising a vibration risk evaluation and an outline of control measures available to enable them to make an informed decision on either relocating the proposed data centre or introducing control measures.
